HEAR IT FROM OUR HAPPY CUSTOMERS!
“Steve Sr came to our house today to inspect for carpenter ants. He is extremely knowledgable and very, very thorough. I am so grateful for his professionalism and customer-focused business model. I highly recommend Bug Master!”
“I went in see if they had any recommendations to help with ants under my cobblestones. They were very knowledgeable and recommended a product that seems to be working quite well. It was nice receiving honest advice, rather than getting the up-sell.”
“Had an ant problem and the owner came out, took a look, and gave us his honest opinion, at no charge, even when it meant that we would not be needing their services. Will definitely go back to them for future pest issues.”
“I called and Steve was so professional and accommodating in our state of panic. He was able to identify which bug it was, and was able to fit us in quickly. We even got a nice follow up, asking how everything was. I highly recommend this company for your pest issues. (They were also very affordable which helps as well)”
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Although Permethrin, our typical pesticide of choice, is safe for humans and pets alike, it is recommended by the manufacturer to leave the premises for 45 minutes (until the chemical has dried) after interior treatment has been completed as a precaution.
Our pesticide of choice, Permethrin, is made mainly from the dried flower heads of chrysanthemum flowers. Insects are much more susceptible to the neurotoxin effect caused by the pyrethroids in chrysanthemum flowers than mammals. Once the chemical has dried, you, your pets and your babies are free to roam openly in the treated area. We suggest keeping pets in a separate room until chemical the has dried (as a precaution, we suggest 45 minutes).
If you or a loved one has specific health concerns or sensitivity, please ask us for a Materials Safety Data Testing sheet which will provide a thorough report on the pesticide we are planning to use in your home or business. These sheets will provide you with details on toxicity and active ingredients, directly from the manufacturer. All of our pest control technicians are highly trained and licensed. They follow the label application instructions exactly and precisely for a safe application.
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, in combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment.
IPM is a process that uses all necessary techniques to suppress pests effectively, economically and in an environmentally sound manner. IPM involves planning and managing ecosystems to prevent organisms from becoming pests. This requires identifying potential pest problems through monitoring and recording weather and pest population levels and establishing thresholds to make treatment decisions to reduce pest populations to acceptable levels. Management strategies may include a combination of biological, physical, cultural, mechanical, behavioral and chemical controls. Equally important is evaluating the effectiveness of the treatments.
The steps in an IPM program include straightforward inspection, identification of pests and conditions conducive to their presence, prevention recommendations, a customer consultation, sanitation, exclusion, evaluation and ongoing monitoring.
Benefits of using IPM:
- Pest Prevention
- Customer Awareness
- Less Reliance on Pesticides
- Improved Home Maintenance
- Long-Term Solutions
- Precise Pesticide Application
- Effective and Environmentally Sensitive Protection
